Hello everyone! My name’s Draft. I’m a 5-year-old greyhound and you can adopt me through Greyhound Pets Inc.
If you see me sniffing or staring at something else, that’s just me being a curious guy.
You can always see me hanging out wherever my people are. And when I’m with them, I do whatever they want me to do.
I’m eager to please, I take treats politely from my loved ones, and I always want to learn new things.
We can get along when I’m active and awake, but during sleeping time, I’m uncomfy when someone comes near my bed. No worries though—put barriers up around my bed, and everything will be fine. My foster mom is a behaviorist and she’s also teaching me to work on it.
I am a big guy so I get along with dogs the same size as me.
The type of home I’m looking for:
- I want to live in a home with another confident dog. Homes with cats, small dogs or children don’t work for me.
- I’m currently trained by my foster mom, who is a behaviorist, and I need a home where I can further practice the skills and techniques I’m learning.
- Sometimes I can’t help jumping around whenever I get super excited. Do you mind if I do the same thing if you decide to keep me and take care of me?
#WhynotMEpets is a statewide campaign that gives cats and dogs needing more care and attention a greater chance of finding a home as quickly as possible. Its mission focuses on animals that have been homeless for two months or longer; are elderly; have behavior or medical needs; aren’t thriving in the shelter environment; or make up a large percentage of the shelter population, such as bully breeds. These are the animals asking “Why not me?” To learn more, visit pawsitivealliance.org/whynotmepets.
